All of these models are keyed different (unless otherwise specified) and have weather-resistant, brass bodies. Adding to their resilience are their non-corrosive inner components and hardened steel shackles with NANO PROTECT™ coating, making these padlocks, resistant to rust and therefore suitable for outdoor use.
Their precision pin tumbler cylinders, paracentric keyways, which resist picking, and self-locking shackles (automatically close and lock when pushed down) which lock on both sides, all add to the security of the ABUS 65 Series Brass Padlocks. CS models with shackle guard, which further restricts access to the lock, are also available, please call our sales team for more information.
As detailed above the ABUS 65 Series of Brass Padlocks do not vary in terms of their CEN (Central European Norm) grade; however, ABUS’ security grading (GPS: Global Protection System) does vary, as a result of this ABUS advice that different models are suitable for different applications:
- 65/15 to 65/25 – suitable for securing less valuable goods and/or items at low risk of theft. Ideal for bags, suitcases, jewellery, and/or cash boxes.
- 65/30 to 65/60 – suitable for securing items of medium value and/or under a medium threat of theft. Ideal for locking chains, doors, gates, cupboards, lockers, toolboxes, cellar windows, sheds, and switchboards.
With such an array of ABUS 65 Brass Padlocks, there is a model suitable for any low to medium-level security need.
